The Clos Maggiore has been voted the most romantic restaurant in London several times before. Moreover, it’s very well known for two things: First, a great number of wedding proposals that occur during it’s dinner hours, and secondly, the restaurant’s unbelievable 100 page wine list, which includes a variety of over 2500 bottles – a fantastic back-up in case conversation runs dry (no pun intended), or if dinner plans go horribly wrong.
But beyond it’s immense selection of wines, Chef Marcellin Marc brings excellence to his Provence influenced cuisine, which is recreated with his individual style and flair. Committed to sourcing local and seasonal products throughout the year, Marcellin has been awarded several AA-rosette awards, and gained continuous recognition from his guests and food critiques alike.
The Clos Maggiore’s setting is also quite magical, with an aesthetic heavily based on inns from Provence and Tuscany, with extremely intimate and warm interiors. The apple blossomed adorned conservatory, which features a fully retractable roof (extremely handy throughout the winter months) delivers an unparalleled relaxing experience under a starlit sky.
